There she is, the diamond in the rough...or the piece of coal in the rough.  Regardless, it's our diamond...almost.  Don't let the picture fool you. She has many features to boast of! A double lot (our three pound chihuahua is very excited), a roof-top patio (my wife is really excited), and a three car garage (I am really excited)! My wife and I began the process of purchasing this home in early December of 2012.  To this day we have yet to close on it.  Our new projected close date is the the beginning of April. I almost don't want to get my hopes up this time in case it doesn't happen again; but, I know I won't be able to contain my excitement as the end of March draws near.

Like many homes on the market today, we are buying a foreclosure home. This transaction, unbeknownst to us, has turned into one of those dragging, painful, wish-you'd-never-started processes that will deplete your energy before you even take the first swing of the hammer.  God bless my wife Abby, she is so full of energy and she keeps me excited about this project.  My father-in-law Greg has also been an inspiration throughout this process.  We have endured so much already and we don't even have the keys to this place.

So, with the extra time, Abby has decided to submerse herself in Pinterest (you can see her house boards here) and design a mood board for each room so we know exactly what we want to do when we get the keys!
